PDIP Affirms Megawati And Dasco Met Not For Amnesty Hasto Transactions
PDIP senior politician Said Abdullah confirmed that Megawati Soekarnoputri's meeting with the Deputy Speaker of the DPR and the Daily Chair of the Gerindra DPP Sufmi Dasco Ahmad was not a transaction related to granting amnesty to PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto.
"There is no transaction at all, never mind. That Mr. Dasco was present yesterday, the process was not sat-set sat-set sat-set Mr. Dasco," Said said on the sidelines of the 6th PDIP Congress at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center, Badung, Bali, Friday, August 1.
So, according to him, amnesty is not due to Dasco's meeting with Megawati. Moreover, he said, do not let the PDIP Congress be linked to the moment of the meeting.
"That's not a character in the PDI-P, not the character of Mrs. Megawati," said the chairman of the DPR's Budget Agency.
He did not know when and where the meeting took place. The reason is, he was not with the figures who held the meeting.
"We are fighting desperately in court, if later we know we have been able to amnesty for a long time, then we just cough in court," he said.
Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, uploaded a photo of a meeting with the PDIP General Chair and 5th President Megawati Soekarnoputri, after announcing the DPR's approval for granting amnesty to PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto.
The photo was uploaded via Dasco's Instagram account (@sufmi_dasco), Thursday night, around 23.00 WIB. From the uploaded photo, Dasco was seen with Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, meeting with Megawati, Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives Puan Maharani, and Chairman of the PDIP DPP Prananda Prabowo.
Hasto also received amnesty for his status as a convict in the alleged bribery case of interim replacement (PAW) for DPR member Harun Masiku and the obstruction of investigation. In that case, Hasto was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison by the court.
