Object Suspected Of Active Grenade Found At Malang Residents' House Evacuated By East Java Police Jibom Team
JAKARTA - The Bomb Disposal Team (Jibom) of the Gegana Detachment of the East Java Regional Police Mobile Brigade (Polda) evacuated objects suspected of being grenades found in a house on Jalan Candi Bajang Ratu block 1, Blimbing District, Malang City, Friday 1 August.
"The Jibom immediately evacuated while checking whether there were other similar objects or not. The shape is like a grenade, but the certainty is that it is from the Jibom who knows," said Head of the Blimbing Sector Police (Polsek) AKP Muhammad Roichan in Malang City, confiscated by Antara.
He said that the report on the findings of the goods was received on Wednesday, July 31, then his party carried out security by installing a police line.

Roichan said the East Java Police Jibom team would conduct an investigation to reveal whether the object was a grenade or not.
Later, the process and determination of the location of the disposal will be under the authority of the East Java Police Jibom Team.
"We did not touch because we did not have such a capacity. We only secured and guarded the location," he said.
Meanwhile, an eyewitness named Sumardi (50) said the object suspected of being a grenade was found in one of three soil excavations when he and a colleague named Andi Setiawan (24) were carrying out septic tank construction work.
"It was found in the most corner of the three holes. Its position is behind the house," said Sumardi.
Sumardi suspected that the object was a grenade after he received information from the internet.
"At first I didn't know, I wanted to robgeng (sell) but after seeing it on YouTube, I estimated that the grenade would continue to tell my friends not to hold it," he said.
Sumardi's colleague named Andi Setiawan added that the object suspected of being a grenade was found during the excavation process of the ground reaching a depth of 1.40 meters.
"I moved it up, at first we thought it was iron or even normal," he said.
