JAKARTA - The Minister of Manpower (Menaker), Yassierli, has shown a real commitment to supporting the Free Nutrition Food Program (MBG).

This was marked by the inauguration of Competency-Based Training (PBK) and the Tailor Made Training (TMT) program at the East Lombok Vocational and Productivity Training Center (BPVP), West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Thursday, July 31.

This training program aims to produce competent workers in accordance with national nutritional fulfillment standards. In addition, as a follow-up to the memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Manpower and the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) which was signed on April 14, 2025.

"The Ministry of Manpower is ready to commit to MBG support because this prospect is able to absorb quite a large workforce. The training opened today is a training program that adjusts the needs of applicants/applicationers," Yassierli said in his statement.

A total of nine training programs were specially designed to support MBG, including processing fish and marine dishes, making various soups, and processing poultry. Seven other programs are in the tourism sector, including mixing coffee drinks, processing commercial foods, pastries and cakes, as well as front office and homekeeping services.

Yassierli added that the East Lombok BPVP facility will also function as an education center and training for the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG).

"We have training centers that can be used for training and job certification involved. The MBG program will be successful if it is supported by competent and certified human resources," he said.

According to Yassierli, MBG is President Prabowo Subianto's priority program which is a long-term investment in improving the quality of human resources. "MBG not only answers nutritional problems, but is also projected to absorb up to 1.5 million workers directly or indirectly throughout Indonesia," he said.

Yassierli also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between BPVP and three MBG partners in the Selong, Suralaga, and Pringgasela areas, as well as three industrial partners of the NTB Human Resource Management Association (HHRMA), Mandalika Hotel Association (MHA), and PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (Alfamart).
