Import Value In June 2025 Capai 19.33 Billion US Dollars

JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that the import value in June 2025 was 19.33 billion US dollars, lower than in May 2025 of 20.31 billion US dollars.

Deputy for Distribution and Services Statistics, Pudji Ismartini, said that the import value in June 2025 was 19.33 billion US dollars, an increase of 4.28 percent compared to the same period in the previous year or year on year (yoy) of 18.54 billion US dollars.

He added that the performance of non-oil and gas imports in June 2025 reached 17.11 billion US dollars, an increase of 12.07 percent (yoy) compared to June 2024 of 15.27 billion US dollars.

Meanwhile, the value of oil and gas exports in June 2025 reached 2.22 billion US dollars, or a decrease of 32.07 percent (yoy) when compared to the same period in 2024 of 3.27 billion US dollars.

"The increase in the annual import value was driven by an increase in non-oil and gas imports with an increase of 9.94 percent," he said at a press conference, Friday, August 1.

Meanwhile, the performance of the import value from January to June 2025 was 115.94 billion US dollars, or an increase of 5.25 percent compared to the same period in the previous year or year on year (yoy) of 125.73 billion US dollars.

Pudji said the increase in imports from January to June 2025 was driven by the performance of non-oil and gas imports (oil and gas) which reached 100.07 billion US dollars, an increase of 8.60 percent (yoy) compared to the same period in 2024 of 92.14 billion US dollars.

Meanwhile, the value of oil and gas imports from January to June 2025 reached 15.86 billion US dollars, or a decrease of 11.91 percent (yoy) when compared to the same period in 2024 of 18.01 billion US dollars.

Dia menambahkan, total impor sepanjang Januari hingga Juni 2025 meningkat 5,25 persen (yoy) dengan andil peningkatan impor disumbang dari impor barang modal sebesar 3,61 persen.

Adapun jika dilihat secara penggunaan, secara kumulatif peningkatan nilai impor terjadi pada bahan baku penolong dan barang modal yang mencapai 82,75 miliar dolar AS atau naik 2,56 persen (yoy).

Pudji menyampaikan, kenaikan impor bahan baku penolong dengan dengan kenaikan terbesar pada logam mulia dan perhiasan atau permata (HS 71), kakao dan olahannya (HS 17), dan berbagai olahan produk kimia (HS 38).

"Kemudian sebagai penyumbang utama peningkatan impor, barang modal mencapai 23 miliar dolar AS atau naik 20,90 persen, dengan andil peningkatan 3,61 persen,” tuturnya.

He added that total imports from January to June 2025 increased by 5.25 percent (yoy) with an increase in imports contributed by imports of capital goods of 3.61 percent.

As for the use, cumulatively increasing the value of imports occurs in auxiliary raw materials and capital goods which reach 82.75 billion US dollars, an increase of 2.56 percent (yoy).

Pudji said that the increase in imports of auxiliary raw materials with the largest increase in precious metals and jewelry or gems (HS 71), cocoa and processed (HS 17), and various chemical product preparations (HS 38).

"Then as the main contributor to the increase in imports, capital goods reached 23 billion US dollars, an increase of 20.90 percent, with an increase of 3.61 percent," he said.
