PBSI Returns To The Apri And Fadia Duets

JAKARTA The Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) decided to reunite the women's doubles Apriyani Rahayu with Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti and reshuffle the other three main pairs.

Apri/Fadia last played together at the All England event in March 2025. After that, Apri was united with Febi Setianingrum and Fadia played with Lanny Tria Mayasari.

The women's doubles coach, Karel Mainaky, said that this change was based on results that made it difficult for women's doubles to penetrate the elite top.

"With this new couple, I think getting into the world elite level is quite a big opportunity," said Karel in a statement received.

The four women's doubles that PBSI overhauled were Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi, Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti/Lanny Tria Mayasari, Rachel Alllessya Rose/Meilysa Trias Puspitasari, and Apriyani Rahayu/Febi Setianingrum.

Their latest compositions are Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi/Lanny Tria Mayasari, Rachel Alllessya Rose/Febi Setianingrum, and Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Meilysa Trias Puspitasari.

The four pairs will be registered in two tournaments in September 2025, namely the Hong Kong Open Super 500 and the China Masters Super 750.

"At the rest of this year, of course I want to see these four pairs when they are deployed to get as many points as possible. So, next year I can immediately participate in the upper level tournament," said Karel.

This year, one of three Indonesian titles at the BWF World Tour was donated by the women's doubles Lanny Tria Mayasari/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti.

The pair managed to climb the highest podium at Thailand Masters 2025. After that, their appearance on the tour calendar was inconsistent.
