FEED Tender Signed, Masela Eternal Gas Project Ready To Step On Gas
JAKARTA - The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) revealed that the Abadi Field operator Blok Masela, Inpex Corporation (Inpex) has completed the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) for the Masela Block project.
"The main patent. Yes, the FEED tender has been signed. It's just a walk," said Djoko, quoted on Friday, August 1.
After the design tender has been signed, he continued, Inpex and SKK Migas will soon announce the winner of the tender to the public.
"Tomorrow, God willing, the winner of the tender will be announced," he continued.
Previously, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia asked Inpex to complete the FEED for the development of the Eternal Field at the end of this year.
FEED Field Abadi includes work on Onshore LNG, Subsea Umbical Riser & flowline (SURF) to gas export pipes.
Inpex Masela Executive Project Director, LTD., Jarrad Blinko said, located in Tanimbar Islands Regency, Maluku Province, an area located far from the main activity center.

"This project requires precise logistics and technical planning. One of them is the technical challenge where the pipeline must cross the Tanimbar Trench with a depth of more than 1,500 meters," he said Thursday, July 10.
As one of the National Strategic Projects in the energy sector, the Abadi Gas Project plays an important role in realizing clean energy-based national energy security. The LNG Abadi project includes the construction of two LNG liquefaction trains on land with a total production capacity of 9.5 million metric tons per year (MTPA), pipeline gas distribution of 150 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) for domestic needs, and condensate production of around 35,000 barrels per day (BCPD).
Inpex manages the Abadi Gas Field with 65 percent participation, together with Pertamina Hulu Energi Masela partners who narrow their participation rights by 20 percent and Petronas Masela Sdn. Bhd. 15 percent.
