Undergoing Surgery, Victims Of Stabbing ABK At Muara Baru Pier His Condition Is Stable

JAKARTA - The atmosphere of the Muara Baru pier, North Jakarta, suddenly tensed when a crew member (ABK) with the initials GS (45) was stabbed by his own partner after a drinking party. The bloody incident occurred when the two had not yet had time to go to sea, just moments after drinking AO-type liquor.

The incident began with a relaxed situation that turned tense. "They had been drinking together, not planned. Then there was a stabbing when the victim was careless," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Muara Baru Regional Police, Ipda Fauzy Widi, Thursday night, July 31, 2025.

The sharp weapon hit the victim's left abdomen, causing serious injuries. According to Fauzy, there were parts of the victim's body such as the intestine or fat coming out of the wound.

However, after undergoing surgery at the hospital, the victim's condition has now gradually improved.

"The victim has been operated on, and is currently in stable condition," he said.

The stabbing was clearly recorded by CCTV cameras around the location. In the recording, it can be seen that the perpetrator, who was previously involved in an alcohol party with the victim, suddenly stabbed GS without any significant resistance.

Surprised and panicked, the victim tried to save himself by throwing himself into the sea while depending on the rope of the ship's mine. Luckily, a number of other crew members immediately came to intervene and provide help.

GS was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital for medical treatment. Meanwhile, the perpetrator has been identified and is now in the process of being chased by the Muara Baru Regional Police.

The police confirmed that the case was still under further investigation.
