The Sedan Burned On The JORR KM 36,400 Cipayung Toll Road After Collision Of The Truck

JAKARTA - A sedan caught fire after being involved in a truck accident and hit a road divider on the JORR KM 36,400 Toll Road, Cipayung, East Jakarta, Thursday, July 31, 2025.

Officers from the East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-dept. (Sudin) immediately arrived at the location at around 16.22 WIB.

One fire unit with three direct personnel was in the form of extinguishing the fire that burned all parts of the sedan.

An eye witness named Ma'ah Setiawan (60) said the sedan had a collision with a truck that both passed from Taman Mini to Bekasi.

"I don't know the exact cause, because I was across the street. But I saw the car collision with a truck, then towards the road divider, I turned here, suddenly the fire had come out of the car," explained Ma'ah.

In addition, Ma'ah said, several residents including officers from the Water Resources Service had tried to help extinguish the fire. However, these efforts did not work because the flames were too big.

"Because the fire is too big, we can't help," said Ma'ah.

Although the vehicle was burned to the ground, there were no casualties in this incident.

The driver named Benget Irfan (67) managed to get out of the vehicle and was immediately secured into an ambulance.

"Alhamdulillah, there were no (victims). So the victims were gentlemen, now they are in the ambulance and no one is injured, thank God. The victims fled," said Ma'ah.

As a result of the incident, a long traffic jam occurred about 10 kilometers from Taman Mini to Bekasi and vice versa.
