Elderly Died As A Result Of Hit And Run In Penjaringan Jakut, Family Asks Perpetrators To Be Strictly Punished
Ivon Setia Anggara (65), a defendant in the hit-and-run case against the victim with the initials S (82) until he died, began his first trial in Ali Said's room, North Jakarta District Court (PN) on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
In the agenda of the indictment trial, the defendant Ivon Setia Anggara was also present with his attorney. Meanwhile, the victim's family was also present at the Ali Said courtroom.
In the courtroom, the victim's child named Ayuo Posan had vented his disappointment so that the defendant would receive severe punishment for his actions.
"In my opinion, it is appropriate for this person to be detained. Why hasn't he been detained so far?
"That's why I spoke up earlier, I agreed that he should be detained," victim S's son told reporters.
In addition, he continued, the defendant and his attorney also came late when entering the courtroom.
"Until the judge's mother was reprimanded, the members were also reprimanded. When the judge said that, if you (the defendant) were late, you are not detained now, you are a city prisoner. If you continue to make it difficult for the trial (then) you will be detained," he said.
For your information, the defendant Ivon Setia Anggara was previously reported for the hit-and-run case against victim S in the Taman Grisenda Housing area, Kapuk Muara Village, Penjaringan District, North Jakarta.
"So it was May 9, 2025 morning, my papah was walking early in the morning. My papah was 82 years old. Every morning it was his routine. At that time, from behind this perpetrator brought a white car from behind. It can be seen from the CCTV footage at the complex that there were several points, then when he was hit, he stopped the car (which the defendant was driving) for a while, then he walked (bur)," he said.

Ayuo Posan admitted that there were a number of witnesses who knew about the incident.
"Some saw at the location, some were shaking and finally a security contact. (the suspected running victim) Then they were searched by security, it turned out that his car was parked in the shophouse area. After being asked that the security guard (the defendant) remained convoluted and felt he had not crashed. He just said he hit the post," he said.
The defendant also had time to argue that he was finally invited to check the location when the incident occurred.
"Finally, the chairman of our RW came, but he (the defendant) was still convoluted. Finally he was forced to come to the TKP which was not too far away. My father was lying bleeding, but he was still convoluted. Maybe if he wasn't in a hurry, he would help, my father might still be there today," he regretted.
Ayuo Posan admitted that there had been no good faith from the defendant since the beginning of the deadly accident that occurred to his family.
"His good faith was gone, he (justru) ran as such until finally 3 days my father was critical in the ICU (the body) could not be saved. Finally, on the 11th afternoon he died," he said.
However, when the case was handled by the North Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit, Ivon, the perpetrator of the run-up, was not detained by the Police. The perpetrator suspended detention on the grounds of illness.
"Even after he suspended his detention, until heading to P21 for almost 1.5 months, he had absolutely no intention of coming personally to our place (to) apologize and so on. So indeed this person was complicated from the start and had no good faith. Therefore, I hope that the law must exist and the perpetrators must be punished as severely as possible, because this person even though she is a woman but has no heart," he said.
The follow-up trial of the hit-and-run case will be continued next week at the North Jakarta District Court.
