Dozens Of Residents Of Kampung Bayam Start Occupying Flats Samping JIS
JAKARTA - A total of 77 out of 126 families of Kampung Susun Bayam (KSB) have received the key and are ready to move to a flat (rusun) next to the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).
"So, 77 have signed it to this day," said the Mayor of North Jakarta, Hendra Hidayat, Thursday, July 31, 2025.
Hendra ensured that there were around 126 heads of families who had rights in the flat next to JIS and it was stated in the Decree (SK) of the Mayor of North Jakarta in 2022.
Hendra confirmed that he would meet with KSB residents who had not signed the rental agreement.
"Next is Ba'adah Jum'at, the other groups will also stay in touch," he said.
Hendra said that none of the KSB residents refused to move to the side of JIS flat. Residents who have not signed are only studying the agreement letter.

"There is no language of rejection. In principle, they are happy to be able to get a unit on this HPP. Tomorrow it will also run smoothly and well so that overall, for 126 families, it can immediately enter here," he said.
The relocation of residents began with the eviction of Kampung Bayam for the construction of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) in 2019. The area is claimed to have historically belonged to the government.
Anies Baswedan, who at that time served as governor of Jakarta with PT JakPro, promised to build a flat next to JIS for residents of Kampung Susun Bayam.
However, after the JIS and flats were completed, residents could not occupy it for up to six years. Therefore, residents are trying to fight for their rights to be able to live in flats.
