Add 3 New SPKLUs, PLN UID Jakarta Raya Encourages East Jakarta To Become An Environmentally Friendly Zone

PLN Jakarta Distribution Main Unit (UID) Raya added three Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) in the LRT City Ciracas area, East Jakarta. This addition is the result of a collaboration between PT Adhi Commuter Property and the East Jakarta City Government.

The three SPKLUs inaugurated consisted of one Ultra Fast Charging unit and two Medium Charging units. With this addition, Jakarta and its surroundings now have 532 chargers at 285 points, including 130 units in East Jakarta.

The inauguration was carried out through band cutting and live charging at the location. General Manager of PLN UID Jakarta Raya, Moch. Andy Adchaminoerdin, called this step clear evidence of PLN in supporting the acceleration of the energy transition.

"Transition to clean energy is not a lifestyle, but a strategic need for Jakarta. PLN comes through 532 SPKLU to encourage changes to green, modern, and low-emission cities," Andy said in a written statement received Thursday, July 31.

The Mayor of East Jakarta, Munjirin, fully supports this effort. He stated the readiness of local governments to provide land in the offices of mayors, sub-districts and sub-districts.

"We must achieve the target of 1,000 SPKLUs in Jakarta together. The city government is ready to contribute," said Munjirin.

President Director of PT Adhi Commuter Property, Achmad Wahid Abdullah, called SPKLU part of the construction of an area with the concept of Transit Oriented Development (TOD).

Future energy, housing, and public transportation must be integrated. We have prepared LRT City Ciracas as a new community center that is healthy, efficient, and competitive," he explained.

PLN also ensures that all SPKLUs are connected to the PLN Mobile application. Users can monitor charging in real-time, with the automatic refund feature if the charging stops before it is full.

This cross-sector collaboration is a concrete step to expand access to electric vehicles. PLN UID Jakarta Raya invites the public and business actors to support the Indonesia Net Zero Emission 2060 mission.
