Pramono Claims Now Many Offer To Be JIS Managers

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung claims that many parties offered to be the manager of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) when he led Jakarta. Currently, JIS is managed by the BUMD PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro).

According to him, the interest of outsiders to manage an international standard stage was caused by its plan to improve access and infrastructure in the area.

"Now many people have come to ask to be the manager of JIS management. That shows that with such regulations, many people want to," said Pramono in the BNI City Station area, Central Jakarta, Thursday, July 31.

Pramono explained a number of programs that he discussed and were already running at JIS. Starting from the construction of a connecting bridge between JIS and Ancol, making JIS a Persija cage, to holding other activities at the stadium built by the former Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan.

"Fortunately I am one of those who continue the good things of whoever the governor is. So that way I am sure that JIS in the next year will definitely be a place, yes, a premium place for Jakarta residents," he explained.

On the other hand, Pramono also wants to restructure Jakarta's regional-owned enterprises (BUMD). According to Pramono, it is time for the DKI Provincial Government to reorganize the governance of its business entities in order to increase efficiency, effectiveness, competitiveness, and contribute to regional income.

"Because the era of openness, now the name is restructuring is also not too difficult. I don't want any more BUMDs to be made only for short-term interests or BUMDs made for assignments, because it doesn't bring health to the BUMD itself," said Pramono.

Pramono gave an example of the restructuring plan for the business performance of PT Jakpro. Where, the BUMD received too many assignments which ultimately had an impact on the company's own burden.

"So, there is no more, for example, Jakpro's assignment to JIS, Jakpro for Velodrome, Jakpro for anything else, that's like that. Yes, now it's not a problem. But if it's not resolved then, it could be a problem," he added.
