LPEI Fictitious Credit Case, KPK Confiscates Suspect's Alphard From The Hands Of Members Of The Indonesian House Of Representatives
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated Toyota Alphard which is suspected of being related to allegations of corruption in the provision of credit facilities by the Indonesian Export Financing Agency (LPEI). The luxury car is in the control of members of the Indonesian House of Representatives.
"A unit of Alphard type car has been confiscated in 2023 related to the case of providing financing facilities from the Indonesian Export Financing Agency (LPEI)," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Thursday, July 31.
Budi said the car was on behalf of the debtor company in this case, namely PT Sakti Mait Jaya Langit (SJML). "When it was confiscated, the car was under the control of a member of the DPR RI," he said.
Budi did not specify who the member of the DPR RI was. However, investigators will investigate why the car was there in the future.
When confiscated, the car was under the control of a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives. The KPK will certainly explore why the car is under the control of the person concerned.

Previously reported, the KPK is investigating allegations of corruption related to credit by the Indonesian Export Financing Agency (LPEI). Three of the five suspects have been detained.
They are Jimmy Masrin as President Director of PT Caturkarsa Megatunggal as well as President Commissioner of PT Petro Energy; Finance Director of PT Petro Energy Susy Mira Dewi Sugiarta; and Newin Nugroho as President Director of PT Petro Energy.
Meanwhile, the two suspects who have not been detained are Dwi Wahyudi as Managing Director I of LPEI and Arif Setiawan as Managing Director IV of LPEI.
Currently, the anti-corruption commission is investigating the granting of credit to PT Petro Energy. The state losses caused by this rasuah practice reached Rp846.9 billion.
However, this amount has the potential to increase to IDR 11.7 trillion. This is because there are 10 other debtors who give their loans by LPEI are considered problematic.
