Commission IV Of The House Of Representatives Supports Prabowo's Seriousness In Ordering Oplosan Rice Practices

JAKARTA - Member of Commission IV of the DPR Hindun Anisah supports President Prabowo Subianto's seriousness in controlling the practice of circulating mixed rice which is troubling the public.

According to him, this proves the President's commitment to cleaning food distribution chains from mafia practices that harm farmers and consumers.

President Prabowo's firm steps in dealing with cases of mixed rice show the government's alignment with national food security and consumer protection. This must be fully supported," said Hindun Anisah, Thursday, July 31.

According to Hindun, the practice of mixing rice is not only detrimental to the community economically, but also injures public confidence in the national food distribution system. He also urged law enforcement officials to act quickly and decisively against these food criminals.

"Anyone involved in the practice of mixed rice must be dealt with firmly indiscriminately. Don't give space to food mafias that damage the welfare of farmers and harm the small people," he said.

The PKB legislator also encouraged the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Trade, and Bulog to strengthen supervision of rice distribution throughout Indonesia so that similar cases do not continue to repeat themselves.

"We need a food distribution system that is transparent and accountable. Do not let the actions of a handful of individuals damage the government's efforts to realize food sovereignty," said Hindun.

Hindun also hopes that this step will be the beginning of the serious arrangement of the national food sector which is fairer, cleaner, and sided with the people.

"Because this food mafia practice has been detrimental to the community for a long time," he concluded.
