Suryadharma Ali's Traces In Fadli Zon's Memories

JAKARTA - Minister of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Fadli Zon remembers the late Suryadharma Ali as a political figure who contributed greatly to the nation and state.

"Pak Suryadharma Ali is a political figure who has contributed a lot. He gives his energy, mind, and time to the nation. We also often work together in the past," said Fadli while visiting the funeral home on Jalan Cipinang Cempedak I Number 30, Cipinang Cempedak, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, Thursday, July 31.

According to Fadli Zon, the deceased was a leader who not only led a big party, but also played a major role in the process of political regeneration in Indonesia.

He called Suryadharma Ali a figure who is good at becoming a bridge to dialogue amidst the dynamics of national politics.

"There are many memories with him. I think he is a figure who can position himself very well in various situations. In fact, in the past he has also supported Pak Prabowo. Now, his wife is still actively fighting with us," said Fadli.

He said he had visited the deceased several times when he was sick, even though the last meeting occurred several years ago.

"Surely the President is sorry, because Pak Prabowo is also close to Pak Suryadharma Ali. But I haven't received the official news yet," said the Gerindra Party politician.

Suryadharma Ali is known as an important figure in the national political landscape. According to Fadli, the legacy of the deceased's political struggle will continue to be remembered as part of Indonesia's democratic journey.

The Indonesian Minister of Religion for the 2009 '2014 period died on Thursday at around 04.18 WIB at Mayapada Hospital, Jakarta.
