13 Job Fairs In Jakarta Have Been Held This Year, Absorbs 1,367 Workers

JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency (DTKTE) Syaripudin revealed that the DKI Provincial Government has held 13 job fairs in Jakarta from January to July 2025.

These activities include 6 jobs fair in the first wave region, 1 job fair at the university, 5 job fair in the second wave region and 1 job fair at SMK.

"Based on data recapitulation as of July 16, 2025, the number of workers absorbed through job fair was 1,367 people," Syaripudin told reporters, Thursday, July 31.

The DKI Provincial Government targets job fair throughout 2025 to be held at least 21 times, with details of 16 regional jobs fair, 1 provincial job fair, 1 job fair specifically for persons with disabilities and 3 job fair for educational institutions.

Syaripudin claimed that the DKI Provincial Government is trying to hold job fair activities by not just being ceremonial.

In its implementation, all job fair participating companies are selectively selected by considering certain criteria, including legality, real labor needs, and openness of persons with disabilities.

"In addition, monitoring the implementation of Job Fair is carried out actively by measuring indicators such as the number of job seekers present, the number of applications submitted, the interview process, to the follow-up to recruitment," explained Syaripudin.

Then, the evaluation is carried out every time so that the next implementation is more effective in bringing job seekers closer to employers.

The location of the implementation will also be directed to areas that are closer to the community. According to Syaripudin, this is done so that job seeker access is easier.

"With these steps, job fair is expected not only to be a medium of meeting between job seekers and companies, but also to be a strategic instrument to improve skills, expand networks, and support the acceleration of employment in DKI Jakarta," he added.
