BRI Profit Drops To IDR 26.53 Trillion In Semester I-2025
JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) and its subsidiary company or BRI Group posted a net profit of IDR 26.53 trillion.
This achievement decreased from the same period the previous year (yoy) which was recorded at IDR 29.90 trillion. Despite experiencing a decrease in net profit, BRI still recorded an increase in assets of 6.52 percent.
"Alhamdulillah, until the end of June 2025, BRI on a consolidated basis or BRI Group managed to record a profit of Rp2,106.37 trillion or grew 6.52 percent year on year," said BRI President Director Heri Gunardi at an online press conference in Jakarta, Thursday, July 31.
Quoted from the company's financial statements, the company's interest income increased from the previous year which was recorded at Rp99.7 trillion to Rp102.3 trillion, but the company's interest expense also increased to Rp29.1 trillion from the previous Rp28.5 trillion.
Thus, net interest income was also raised to IDR 73.27 trillion from the previous IDR 71.2 trillion.

The company's operating expenses were also recorded to have increased. The company's workload increased from IDR 20 trillion to IDR 21.73 trillion.
The company's operating profit was also observed to have decreased from the previous Rp38.54 trillion to Rp35 trillion or fell 9.2 percent yoy.
On the other hand, BRI's lending was recorded at IDR 1,416.62 trillion, an increase of 5.97 percent yoy with a gross non-performing loan (NPL) ratio of 3.23 percent and net NPL of 0.99 percent.
