Youth Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Becomes A National Priority
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Youth and Sports held a cross-ministerial meeting to discuss youth entrepreneurship development policies. This policy is integral in the form of Youth Entrepreneurship Norms, Standards, Procedures, and Criteria (NSPK).
Deputy Secretary for Youth Development of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Amar Ahmad, said that this meeting was expected to produce a policy product that could create a youth entrepreneurial ecosystem.
"Youth entrepreneurship has a special place in the development of national entrepreneurship which needs special attention", said Amar in a written statement, Friday, May 7.
Meanwhile, the Director of Family, Women, Children, Youth, and Sports of the Ministry of National Development Planning, Woro Srihastuti, said that the open unemployment rate from 2019 to 2020 had increased by 5 percent.
"To answer this problem, a serious effort is needed to boost youth participation in reducing youth unemployment in realizing national strategic programs, one of which is by encouraging the Youth Entrepreneurship Ecosystem NSPK", said Woro.
The delegation from the Coordinating Ministry of Youth Development Yohan as Deputy Assistant for Youth Empowerment conveyed that NSPK was very much needed in the regions. In terms of entrepreneurship, it is also necessary to encourage innovation with appropriate technology so that it can be accessed by all levels of society.
