ASDP Subsidiary Gets Financing From LPEI Rp300 Billion Working On Labuan Bajo Marina Project
JAKARTA - PT Indonesia Ferry Properti (IFPRO), a subsidiary of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero), received financing support from the Indonesian Export Financing Agency (LPEI) of IDR 300 billion through the Export Special Assignment scheme, National Interest Account (NIA).
This financing facility is to support the development of the Labuan Bajo Integrated Marina area, East Nusa Tenggara, which is one of the five national Super Priority Tourism Destinations (DPSP).
The PKE facilities distributed through LPEI and BCA with a blended financing scheme focused on the construction of a new development project amounting to IDR 300 billion.
IFPRO President Director Ferry Snyders said the funds were used to fund the development of various leading facilities in the marine area, including the construction of mid-range hotels (mid-tier hotels), the development of phase II commercial areas, as well as the construction of exclusive social clubs.
Ferry said the three facilities will be complementary to the Meruorah Hotel which has been operating first and became an icon of premium lodging in the heart of Labuan Bajo.
"This is a step forward that will allow us to increase the competitiveness of the region, as well as expand the capacity of the domestic economy which relies on local potential," Ferry said in an official statement, Thursday, July 31.
Ferry said that along with infrastructure improvements, the trend of foreign tourist visits to the Meruorah Hotel showed significant growth. In 2022, foreign tourists were recorded at 10.4 percent, up to 20.4 percent in 2023.
Until June 2025, he continued, the portion of foreign tourists reached 57.4 percent, making this hotel one of the favorite destinations for international travelers in eastern Indonesia. This increase reflects the effectiveness of the promotional strategy and improvement of service quality that continues to be carried out by IFPRO.
