Bogor Targets Economic Transformation Through RPJMD 2025 2029

BOGOR - Draft Regional Regulation (Raperda) of Bogor City concerning the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) for 2025-2029 was approved as a Regional Regulation (Perda) at a Plenary Meeting at the Bogor City DPRD Building, Jalan Pemuda, Wednesday 30 July.

The Mayor of Bogor, Dedie A Rachim, said that the regional development plan aims to realize development that is able to improve and equalize people's welfare, open up job and business opportunities, and expand access to public services and regional competitiveness.

"The preparation of the 2025'2029 RPJMD is a strategic step for the Bogor City Government (Pemkot) in order to realize the vision and mission of regional heads and long-term regional vision. The RPJMD is also a guideline in the preparation of strategic plans for regional apparatus in the 2025'2029 period," said Dedie Rachim.

He explained that the annual Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) will be an important reference in budget allocation, performance evaluation, and coordination between stakeholders.

The Bogor City development mission in the 2025 2029 RPJMD refers to four main pillars, namely Smart Bogor, Healthy Bogor, Prosperous Bogor, and Smooth Bogor, which are part of the vision and mission of regional heads during the Regional Head Election campaign.

Dedie Rachim also reminded the importance of vigilance against a number of strategic issues that are a challenge in the future.

These issues include improving the quality and competitiveness of human resources, strengthening the identity of the City of Bogor from scientific and historical aspects, implementing community economic transformation, developing integrated infrastructure and transportation systems, increasing resilience to global disasters and climate change, and collaborative governance.

The final goal of the Bogor City RPJMD 2025 2029 is the realization of superior human resources and high competitiveness, effective, agile, and collaborative digital governance, a healthy, comfortable, efficient, and habitable housing and residential environment, quality public health services, sustainable environmental governance, as well as an inclusive and sustainable regional economic ecosystem that supports community economic activities in harmony with the leading economic sectors of Bogor City.

Infrastructure development and spatial planning are also directed to be able to support the competitiveness of the regional economy as a whole.

In the meeting, it was also conveyed by the Draft General Budget Policy and the Priority of the Temporary Budget Ceiling (KUA-PPAS) for Fiscal Year 2026.

Closing his remarks, Dedie Rachim invited all DPRD members to jointly review the KUA-PPAS draft so that the proposed budget planning can be carried out optimally and has a broad impact on the community.
