KPK Explores TKA Visa Issuance Process In The Ministry Of Manpower's RPTKA Extortion Case
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the visa issuance permit when examining state civil servants at the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections as a witness in the alleged extortion case in the management of a plan to use foreign workers (RPTKA) within the Ministry of Manpower.
"Investigators are investigating the visa issuance permit, as well as residence permits for foreign workers," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo at the KPK's Red and White Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, July 30.
Budi explained that the investigation was carried out on an ASN named Angga Prasetya Ali Saputra on Wednesday
The ASN is also known to be the Head of the Examination Section II of the Special Class I Immigration Office for Immigration Checks at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang.
Budi explained that the examination of ASN was carried out because the KPK wanted to explore the flow or process of a foreign worker being able to work in Indonesia.
"When foreign workers want to work in Indonesia, of course, apart from needing RPTKA issued by the Ministry of Manpower, they also need visas and residence permits," he explained.
Previously, on June 5, 2025, the KPK revealed the identities of eight suspects in the extortion case in the management of RPTKA in the Ministry of Manpower, namely the state civil apparatus (ASN) in the Ministry of Manpower named Suhartono, Haryanto, Wisnu Pramono, Devi Anggraeni, Gatot Widiartono, Putri Citra Wahyoe, Jamal Shodiqin, and Alfa Eshad.
According to the KPK, the suspects in the period 2019-2024 have collected around Rp53.7 billion from extortion in the management of RPTKA.
The KPK explained that the RPTKA is a requirement that must be met by foreign workers in order to work in Indonesia.
If the RPTKA is not issued by the Ministry of Manpower, the issuance of work permits and residence permits will be hampered so that foreign workers will be fined Rp. 1 million per day. That way, the applicant of RPTKA was forced to give money to the suspect.

In addition, the KPK revealed that the extortion case for RPTKA management allegedly occurred since the era of Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin served as Minister of Manpower and Transmigration in the 2009 period 2014, which was then continued by Hanif Dhakiri in 2014 2019, and Ida Fauziyah in 2019 2024.
The KPK then detained the eight suspects. The first batch is for the four suspects on July 17, 2025, and the second batch is on July 24, 2025.
