Macau Open 2025: 12 Indonesian Representatives Qualify For The Second Round

JAKARTA A total of 12 Indonesian representatives managed to secure a ticket to the second round of the Macau Open 2025. This number is the majority of those who appear in this event.

The series of matches for the first round of the BWF Super 300 level tournament were completed on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, WIB night. Indonesia secured seven additional tickets.

Of the seven tickets, four of them were obtained by the men's singles sector and the rest were from mixed doubles numbers.

All the men's doubles are still safe so far. The representatives who escaped were Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo, Alwi Farhan, Yohanes Suat Marcellyno, and Mohammad Zaki Ubaidillah.

Unfortunately, Alwi and Ubaidillah faced off in the second half. This certainty automatically makes this sector definitely have one ticket in the quarter-finals.

Representatives from mixed doubles who qualified for the second round were Adnan Maulana/Indah Cahya Sari Jamil, Amri Syahnawi/Nita Violina Marwah, and Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja.

Previously, on the first day, Tuesday, July 29, 2025, five tickets for the second half had already been secured by women's doubles and men's doubles.

From the women's doubles, there are Apriyani Rahayu/Febi Setianingrum and Meilysa Trias Puspitasari/Rachel Alllessya Rose, while the men's doubles are Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohammad Reza Pahlevi, Rahmat Hidayat/Jeremiah Rambitan, and Muhammad Putra Erwusyah/Daniel Edgar callo.

The women's singles no longer have representatives. Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi as the sole representative, immediately went home early after being beaten by Han Qian Xi from China.
