After Entering The Main News For Days, Gyokores Realized The Big Name Of Arsenal
JAKARTA - Mikel Arteta believes Viktor Gyokeres has understood Arsenal's reach scale in the last four days after joining the Gunners on a pre-season tour into Asia.
Gyokeres completed a 73 million euro move from Sporting CP on time to be introduced before kick-off last week's Newcastle United match. Meanwhile, in that match, the north London club won 3-2 over the Magpies.
The 27-year-old was part of a squad that then flew to Hong Kong to continue his Asian tour.
They were warmly welcomed both at the team hotel and during the open training session at Kai Tak Stadium which was attended by around 20,000 fans.

Gyokeres is the player who gets the sharpest spotlight. He regularly gets cheers when appearing on the big screen of the stadium.
In fact, Gyokeres news associated with Arsenal has graced the main media pages over the previous few weeks.
In the match against Tottenham, Thursday, July 31, 2025, the first WIB-derby night north London played outside England - will certainly complement Gyokeres' trip.
Arteta also knows very well that Gyokeres now understands how big Arsenal are. Therefore, the coach believes the Swedish player will make a big contribution to his team in order to win as many titles as possible for the 2025/2026 season.
"When the news spreads and you realize how big the club you're going to represent, and how viral everything has gone so fast lately, I think the immediate reaction is, 'Wow'."
"Then he saw how we were received again yesterday, in the training session we just did with 20,000 people, the stadium was very busy for two hours, and 50,000 people will be in that incredible stadium tomorrow."
"So, I think he will give a very good first impression, that's for sure," said Arteta.
Arteta further hinted that Gyokeres could play his first match with Arsenal against Spurs.
"I understand he only practiced today and yesterday very little. We will assess his condition tonight."
"Are the medical staff also satisfied with his condition to participate in tomorrow's match, we will discuss it tonight," Arteta said of Gyokeres on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.
Meanwhile, Gabriel Magalhaes and Riccardo Calafori will be absent against Spur due to injury.
"For others, everyone will be fine, except Gabi who is still absent and Riccy. Maybe it's too early for him to come back tomorrow," said Arteta again, reported by ESPN.
