Become A Need For Self-Activation, A Service That Can Help Your Traveling Plan
JAKARTA - In the fast era like now, traveling is no longer just a matter of moving from one place to another. Now, travel has become a lifestyle, part of identity, even a form of self-actualization.
Whether for business purposes, short holidays, or just filling free time, traveling is a growing need, especially in Southeast Asia.
Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia, have become three countries in Southeast Asia with very active air mobility. Not only because of the many charming destinations, but also because of infrastructure support and the wider access to aircraft tickets.
In this context, online travel agents (OTA) platforms such as BookCabin are here to provide more efficient and user-friendly travel solutions. Even though it is under the auspices of the Lion Air Group, BookCabin does not limit its services to the group's airlines.
"There are still many who think we only sell Lion Group tickets. Even though they also provide tickets from various other airlines, both nationally and internationally," said Dealy Rasjid, Head of Corporate Communication Book Cabin, when met in the Kebayoran Baru area, Jakarta on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.
Not only focusing on the domestic market, but aggressively targeting regional markets. Deasy said that currently the team has been actively operating in Thailand and Malaysia, as well as adjusting their communication strategy to a local context.
"We are preparing promotional materials in three languages, namely English, Thai, and Malay. Currently, we are actively using Thai-language promotional materials to strengthen market penetration there," said Deasy.

Interestingly, the Malaysian and Thai markets have a pattern similar to Indonesia, especially on dense routes and airline preferences.
Regarding performance, the positive trend can be seen from the growth in the number of application downloads to increasing ticket sales.
"Alhamdulillah, there is an upward trend in terms of sales and awareness. The more people who know BookCabin, the more people who start to think of us as the first place to check tickets and flight schedules," added Deasy.
In terms of routes, BookCabin observes that domestic routes are still the backbone. The best-selling route today is Surabaya, Balikpapan, Yogyakarta, Medan, Ujung Pandang, Manado, Batam, to Jakarta.
"Business cities such as Jakarta, Surabaya, Balikpapan, to Batam also show high order traffic, both for flight tickets and for staycation needs," said Deasy.
Although it has only been around for less than three years, this service has started rolling out various programs to strengthen brand awareness in various layers of users.
"We know that the most important first step is education. Therefore, various gatherings and socialization continue to be carried out," said Deasy.
Shinta Yuliasmi, PR Executive and Spokesperson Book Cabin added that the attitude program approach is an important part of this strategy.
"We have various interesting programs such as discounted ticket purchases, cashbacks in the form of Cabin Points, and the Best Flight Finds program. We also have a Book Cabin Ambassador at large airports," he explained.
