The Ministry Of Industry Calls The 'Rojali' Phenomenon Has Happened In The Last Two Months: Not Shopping, Just Eating
JAKARTA - Director General of Small, Medium and Multifarious Industries (IKMA) of the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) Reni Yanita said that the phenomenon of the group rarely buying or 'Rojali' had occurred for the last two months.
According to him, people who visit shopping centers prefer to eat rather than buy goods.
"If you go to the mall instead of shopping at the mall, most of it's just food. That's it, right, the last two months have been like that (Rojali phenomenon)," Reni answered VOI's question when met at the Ministry of Industry's office, Jakarta, Wednesday, July 30.
Reni assessed that this phenomenon was also caused by a decrease in people's purchasing power which is still happening today.
The reason, he said, was that there were reports from the Small and Medium Industries (IKM) which also experienced a decline and even canceled requests.
"Including IKM as well, right, there was a decrease in orders. However, it is true that (the name) is sluggish in demand, the exhibition is also sluggish," he said.
To overcome this phenomenon, said Reni, his party continues to encourage industry players to be able to echo domestic products in e-commerce.
In addition, Reni said, her party also continues to introduce domestic products, one of which is batik.

Thus, he continued, it is hoped that people's purchasing power can increase by the end of the year.
"Our keyword, really, is for the marketplace, here. We have to also filter, then we continue to boost our (industry) perpetrators (for) live shopping, please, live TikTok. In our language, it's really bad," said Reni.
"Well, that's all, really, we actually filled it to move my back, which he says is now sluggish," he concluded.
The 'rojali' phenomenon is synonymous with people who often come to shops, outlets or malls, but only look at goods and do not make purchase transactions.
