AFF Appreciates Indonesia For Successfully Hosting The 2025 AFF U-23 Cup

JAKARTA - The Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF) appreciates PSSI and Indonesia for successfully holding the 2025 AFF U-23 Cup. The statement was made by the General Chairperson (Ketum) of PSSI, Erick Thohir.

He conveyed that Indonesia received praise from AFF for being considered successful in holding the 2025 AFF U-23 Cup.

"Thank you to today's supporters for fulfilling (the stadium). Earlier from AFF gave his appreciation, he said on average, in other countries the U-23 (tournament) is 10 thousand (contents)."

"Namunm di Indonesia rata-rata bisa 20 ribuan (penonton). ini luar biasa," kata Erick Thohir dalam keterangan usai laga dikutip Rabu, 30 Juli 2025.

"So, thank you to the supporters who support it, with good results or not yet maximal. Thank you," he said again.

The 2025 AFF U-23 Cup will take place from 15-29 July 2025 at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium and Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium.

Vietnam U-23 managed to become the champion after defeating Indonesia U-23 with a score of 1-0 in the final match at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 29, 2025, WIB night.

Thanks to the supporters were also expressed by Menpora Dito Ariotedjo who witnessed the Indonesia U-23 final match vs Vietnam U-23.

It was recorded that more than 35 thousand spectators attended the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium to watch the 2025 AFF U-23 Cup final match.

The number of spectators in the final match was the highest during the 2025 AFF U-23 Cup, beating the final Group A match between Indonesia U-23 vs Malaysia U-23 which was watched by around 27 thousand spectators.
