Diplomat Arya Daru Alami Burnout, Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Says Providing Counseling Services To All Staff
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu) stated that it has provided psychological and psychiatric counseling services to all staff and their families if they are affected by official activities and assignments.
This is intended to respond to the results of an investigation into Arya Daru Pangayunan who suffered a burnout before being found dead.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also provided various support to all staff and families of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in need, including psychological and psychiatric counseling services. This in-house service has been provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to assist the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and their families if they are affected by official activities and assignments," said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' official statement quoted Wednesday, July 30.
In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also appreciates the efforts of the Polda Metro Jaya and its experts in disclosing the cause of Arya Daru Pangayunan's death. Also, respecting the attention and various inputs that have been submitted by all parties.
From the start, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs fully supported and opened access to all information and various other related matters to families, investigators, and experts, including Komnas HAM in the process of collecting all the information and evidence needed.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has collaborated and communicated with families, police investigators, and other related parties to clearly uncover this case," he said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is said to always be by the side of Arya Daru Pangayunan's wife and two children along with his extended family in dealing with difficult times. Psychological counseling services for the family will also be provided.
"The Indonesian Foreign Minister has visited the funeral home in Yogyakarta to provide condolences and moral support," he wrote.

Arya Daru Pangayunan was found dead in the 'Gues House Gondia' in the 105th room, Jalan Gondangdia Kecil, No 22, Cikini Village, Menteng District, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, July 8.
When found, the body of Arya Daru Pangayunan was covered in plastic and duct tape in yellow.
Based on the results of the deepening of DNA examinations and so on, the police concluded that there was no involvement of other parties in the series of deaths of Arya Daru Pangayunan. In addition, referring to the facts obtained from the results of the investigation involving forensic experts, no criminal elements were found.
So far, the cause of death from Arya Daru Pangayunan is due to disturbances in the oxygen exchange in the respiratory tract. Thus, it causes weakness.

In addition, the Forensic Psychology Association (Apsifor) said Daru Pangayunan suffered a burnout before his death. Burnout refers to conditions of physical, emotional and mental fatigue caused by prolonged stress.
