Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Appreciates Handling Cases Of ADP's Death, Provides Counseling And Assistance Services For Families

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs appreciates the handling of the case of the death of a diplomat with the initials ADP by the Polda Metro Jaya, ensuring that the ministry is always present and supports the family of the deceased.

In a statement on Wednesday evening the ministry said it followed closely the information conveyed by the police regarding the results of the investigation into the death of ADP.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its appreciation for the efforts made by the investigation team of the Polda Metro Jaya and the experts involved during the implementation of the investigation. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also appreciates the attention and various inputs that have been submitted by all parties related to the death of Mr. ADP," wrote the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement, as quoted on July 31.

Since the beginning of the investigation process, the statement continued, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has collaborated and communicated with families, police investigators, and other parties to uncover the case.

In addition, the ministry also provides full support and access to all information and other related matters to families, investigators, and experts, including the National Human Rights Commission. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also facilitates the collection of all information and evidence needed by the police.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that it experienced deep sorrow with the death of ADP which was known as a good, friendly person, dedicated co-worker, and a senior who was nurturing, had an emotional impact on colleagues and the ministry's extended family.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is with his wife and two children of the deceased and the extended family of the deceased in the face of these difficult times. The Indonesian Foreign Minister has visited the funeral home in Yogjakarta to provide condolences and moral support," explained the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also provides psychological counseling services for the family of the deceased. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to assist the extended family of the deceased in the process of disclosing this case in a fourth, open and objective manner," he added.

He added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has provided various support to all staff and families of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in need, including psychological and psychiatric counseling services. This in-house service has been provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to assist the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and their families if they are affected by official activities and assignments.

As previously reported, a diplomat from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the initials ADP in his boarding house at Gondia International Guest House, Central Jakarta on July 8.

After going through a series of proceedings, the investigative team based on facts involving experts stated that there was no criminal element in the series of incidents of ADP's death.

"So far, we have not found any criminal incidents," said Director of General Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Wira Satya Triputra, to reporters, Tuesday, July 29.

The police previously also concluded that there was no involvement of other parties in the series of ADP deaths, referring to the absence of DNA from other people at the location or ADP's belongings.
