Puslabfor Polri Teliti Sampel Abu Untuk Ungkap Penyebab Kebakaran Pasar Taman Puring
The National Police's Forensic Laboratory Center Team (Puslabfor) took a number of samples at the Taman Puring Market fire site, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. This step was taken to reveal the exact cause of the fire that scorched hundreds of stalls in the market.
"We secured evidence in the form of charcoal ash, cables, and electrical equipment that could potentially cause the fire," said Head of Sub-Division of Laka Bakar Puslabfor Polri, Kompol Henry Siahaan, when met at the location on Wednesday (30/7).
Accompanied by the ranks of the South Jakarta Metro Police, the Puslabfor team conducted a crime scene (TKP) to trace the starting point of the fire.
"From the first point of fire, we took evidence. From there we can find out the cause of the fire," explained Henry.
The evidence that has been collected will be examined further in the laboratory. The analysis process is estimated to take about a week.
"We can't confirm the exact cause before the laboratory examination results come out," he said.
