Philippines, Guam To Marinaa Islands Revoke Tsunami Warning
JAKARTA - The Philippine Authority has lifted the tsunami warning issued for several coastal areas.
"No significant sea level disturbances or destructive tsunami waves have been recorded since the earthquake," the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said in its latest update.
The institute had previously warned the public to stay away from the coast and move into the interior as tsunami waves were expected to hit the coastal area of the country.
"The impact of minor sea level disturbances has largely passed," the agency said in a statement canceling the warning.
