Five Line Dance Athletes Who Make Indonesian Harum Enliven Fornas VIII NTB

JAKARTA Five line dance athletes from East Kalimantan who once made Indonesia proud on the international stage also enlivened the VIII 2025 National Community Sports Festival (Fornas) in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

The five names are Alief Rizky Pasya Adijaya, Frangky, Zie Pana Isinanta, Asbar, and Syifa Asyifa. They previously appeared in the 2024 UCWD Country Dance World Championships in Colorado, United States.

"Their names are quite feared in the world and Frangky is the only one from Asia to win the Super Star Plus," said Head of the Universal Line Dance (ULD) of East Kalimantan, Trimurti Rahayu.

Apart from Frangky, Alief Rizky Pasya is the World Super Star champion, Zie Pana is listed as the champion of Racing Star, Asbar is the Super Star runner-up, and Syifa Asyifa is in third place in Advent.

East Kalimantan previously only fielded Frangky, a Super Star silver winner in Texas, United States, when he participated in the VII edition of the National Fornas which will take place in the province of West Java in 2023.

The presence of the five names above adds to the vibrant competition which was held at the Ali 1 Hall of the Mataram Hajj Dormitory, Lombok, NTB, on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. The audience is willing to sit down in a row waiting for Alief and colleagues' appearances.

Trimurti said that it is not easy to be able to appear in events like the UCWD Country Dance World Championships. It is a prestigious event with strict requirements that must get four qualifying points to be able to appear.

"They got four points after appearing at the Bali Open, Malaysia Open, South Korea Open, Japan Open, and the Netherlands Open. Their preparations were long enough to achieve world achievements," he said.

Line dance at Fornas VIII 2025 was recorded as being attended by 783 athletes from 23 provinces. Their performance was witnessed directly by the Chairperson of the Organizing Committee for the 2025 Fornas VIII, Ibnu Riza Pradipto.
