Steal 1.5 Tonnes Of Steel, House Project Contractor In Bali Arrested

BADUNG - Abiansemal Police Team, Badung Regency, Bali, arrested a man named I Made Pariana (43) who stole 10 steel bars weighing 1.5 tons.

"The mode is to pick up goods easily and transport them in the perpetrator's pickup", said Head of Public Relations of Badung Police said, Iptu Ketut Gede Oka Bawa, Friday, May 7.

The theft of steel took place on Saturday, May 1 at the victim's house named I Komang Widiarta in Blahkiuh Village, Abiansemal District.

The victim at that time asked the perpetrator to find an iron welder related to the house project. Victims and perpetrators are called partners.

At that time, the perpetrator invited another person to work at the victim's house in working on the iron part. But on Monday, May 3, the victim was called by a repairman who said the perpetrator had taken the item.

According to the police, the perpetrator was the contractor of the project. Steel was taken to work on his project in Gianyar, Bali.

"The missing iron was 8 WF 200 iron rods and 2 WF 150 iron bars. For the incident, the victim reported it to the Abiansemal Police", he added.

From this report, the police arrested the perpetrator at his house in Ubung, North Denpasar.

"For a total loss of IDR 30 million. The perpetrator (subject to) Article 362 Jo 64 of the Criminal Code with a maximum imprisonment of 5 years", said Iptu Oka.
