Inspired By Bernadya's Irration, Natasya Elvira Introduces A New Single Titled Kutukan
JAKARTA - Natasya Elvira always has a way to show her vocal charm. Together with Societeit de Harmonie, the young jazz singer introduced his new single entitled Kutukan.
Met on the sidelines of his performance at BRI Jazz Gunung Series 2 Bromo last weekend, Natasya admitted that her new song, which was written earlier this year, was inspired by Bernadya's works.
"At that time the song Bernadya was rising. Maybe I resonate his confusion," said Natasya.
Natasya wrote 'Cursed' composition and lyrics alone. In the middle of the night, less than an hour, he managed to compose the whole song.
Different from the many songs performed with the previous Societeit de Harmonie, Natasya brought her new single with just the piano accompaniment, and the background of a few percussion elements and a choir.
"When I met Mas Andy Gomez on the piano, she arranged it like a horror film song, in fact," said Natasya who then laughed. In fact, I wanted to make a song that was hanging around like that. And yes, it turns out that it is more included in my vocal character, which is horror-horor like that.
Adapun, Kutukan lahir dari momen yang sangat personal bagi Natasya. Lagu ini adalah pengakuan emosional tentang lingkungan hubungan toksik yang penuh ketegangan.
Visuals for the single "Kutukan" also played a big role in conveying song stories. This artwork by Rici Shahputra is inspired by the iconic painting of René Magritte, The Lovers (1928), which captures the essence of blind love.

Through this single, Natasya Elvira and Societeit de Harmonie not only released a song, but also provided emotional experiences that invite listeners to feel hurt, realize reality, and find strength in vulnerability.
