3 Main Focus Of The Local Community Of Natural Guard Movements
JAKARTA - The latest knowledge about Planetary Boundaries or Planetary Boundaries shows a worrying reality, namely that six of the nine important boundaries that maintain the stability of the earth have been exceeded.
This is not just a number, but a serious warning that life-supporting systems on the planet are under great pressure, and further damage could be a point of no return.
These boundaries are interconnected with each other. If one limit is interrupted, the impact can spread to other boundaries, triggering a chain environmental crisis. Examples of these boundaries include biodiversity, land use changes, chemical pollution, and marine equalizers.
Now, we are on the verge of violating the seventh limit, namely ocean stability. A healthy sea is the buffer of life, and if this limit is also exceeded, the global crisis will be increasingly difficult to control. One of the boundaries that has been exceeded is climate.
According to the researchers, we can no longer see carbon as the only problem. A more thorough approach, namely Whole Earth Approach. This approach allows countries and companies to achieve climate commitments and net-zero targets more quickly and efficiently. This provides a real opportunity to avoid planetary disasters and keep global temperatures below 1.5$C.
To return to a safe path within nine limits of this planet, we need global cooperation on an unprecedented scale. From here was born the Planetary Guardians, a global collective consisting of leaders dedicated to serving mankind and the planet.
Environmental activist and founder of the Aceh Forest and Environment Foundation (Yayasan HakA), Farwiza Farhan, highlighted the issue of wildlife that is maintained by public figures or the general public.
"I don't agree that wild animals are kept. We as humans want to live freely. Just imagine, when we were locked at home for two years due to COVID-19, many of us were stressed because we couldn't go anywhere," said Fariza, when met in the General Sudirman area, Jakarta on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.
According to him, tigers have a cruising area of about 100 square km. In that area tigers are looking for food, spouses, and life.
"If we really love animals, let them stay alive in nature. Land surfaces are a big challenge today. Pressure from the wildlife trade is getting higher, even though their place is indeed in nature," he added.
In addition, Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim, an activist and geographer from Chad, Central Africa, emphasized the importance of the role of local communities in protecting nature.
"The goal is to hear our voices. How can we be heard? One of them, by also listening to what is in the head of the government and the community. So that everything is conveyed," he said.
Imagine a future where humans and nature coexist and develop together. In that future, the science of Planetary Boundaries is the basis for measuring Earth's health and guiding the direction of global policy. Three main focuses of the movement of Planetary Guardians:
1. Explore Science
Launching the Planetary Boundary Health Check every year to monitor Earth's conditions, find new risks, and develop real solutions.
2. Encourage Systemic Changes
Changing the policy and direction of the flow of funds to be in line with the needs of the planet, because the current system is not fast enough to respond to the crisis.

3. Move Global Movement
Invite anyone, anywhere, to be a guard for the planet together. Because guarding our house is not the responsibility of one person or one country, because this is a shared task.
