Select Indonesia For Global Launch, Release Of Local Production Commitment Starting Year-End

TANGERANG - The newest Submerek from the Chery Group, namely Release, chose Indonesia as the first global country to launch the brand, after it was introduced in China last April.

Apart from having a strong commitment in Indonesia, by not only introducing products but also assembling the locals of various models, including L8 which has been opened for pre-booking at GIIAS 2025.

"For Release as stated on pre-booking conditions, we hope to start sending the first product, namely L8, this year. Possibly in December," said President Director of Chery Sales Indonesia Zeng Shuo, when met at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Monday, July 28.

He further confirmed that he would start local production of his car from November to December. However, he did not elaborate on the details of the specifications because the model he was carrying was still a prototype version.

"But basically the L8 will be built on a super hybrid platform that will provide high performance and efficiency, as well as a silent driving experience such as electric cars," he added.

The L8 model itself is an SUV with a super hybrid system specifically designed to answer the mobility needs of modern families. L8 is claimed to offer extraordinary fuel efficiency and longer travel distance, and of course without compromising comfort.

Equipped with a wide and functional cabin, L8 is able to accommodate various family needs, ranging from suitcases, snacks, children's toys, to wheelchairs, making it an ideal vehicle for weekend adventures and daily routines.

The official launch of the L8 Release itself will be carried out in the near future, as a sign of the start of the Off Commitment to provide a classy driving experience for the Indonesian people.

"Most variants will be PHEV and BEV, but we also have plans for an ICE machine," he said.
