The Identity Of The Body Rotting On The Ceiling Turns Out To Be A Employee Of PT Tunggal Sila Farma Pulogadung

JAKARTA - The man who was found dead rotting above the ceiling of PT Tunggal Sila Farma's office is thought to have died from being electrocuted.

The identity of the victim is known as Rastono (38), a resident of Koja, North Jakarta. The victim was found on the ceiling of a drug factory warehouse in the South Pulomas area, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta.

Pulogadung Police Chief Kompol Suroto said the report on the discovery of the body began on Tuesday afternoon, July 29, at around 14.30 WIB.

Initially, the witness with the initials S (the prototype employee) was contacted by a witness with the initials Witness 3 initials FAR (Health Safety Environment) that he smelled an unpleasant odor.

"The witness with the initials FAR said there was a smell of carrion around the warehouse," said Kompol Suroto when confirmed, Wednesday, July 30, 2025.

Then witness FAR invited a security guard with the initials MS to check the unpleasant odor came from around 15.30 WIB.

However, FAR and MS would be surprised when they found the corpse on the ceiling with a supine corpse with a black face.

The victim was wearing a yellow shirt and blue trousers.

Furthermore, witnesses FAR and MS reported the findings to witness 4 with the initials SUR (security chief). SUR also checked.

However, because witness S, FAR, MS and SUR did not know the identity of the victim, they reported the incident to the Pulogadung Police.

After the police conducted a crime scene at the scene, the police received information from witness 5 with the initials NM (head of technician) that the victim was named Rastono, who was an employee of a technician.

"From witness testimony, the victim, a technician employee with the initials R. Victim R, has not come to work since Monday, July 28, 2025," he said.

Meanwhile, based on the testimony of witness 6 with the initials M, the victim's friend, on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at around 18.00 WIB, he and victim R repaired the water pump.

After finishing repairing the water pump, the witness with the initials M took a shower at the employee's Mess.

M also saw the victim wearing a yellow t-shirt and blue trousers.

"When found, the victim's right leg was wrapped in an electric cable," he said.

Meanwhile, the Pulogadung Police Criminal Investigation Unit together with the East Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim, Biddokkes and SPKT East Jakarta Metro Police have identified and processed the crime scene.

The victim's body has been taken to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta, for an autopsy. Meanwhile, the police have installed a police line at the scene for further investigation.

Previously, it was reported that a body was found on the ceiling of an office of PT Tunggal Sila Farma on Jalan Ahmad Yani, Kayu Putih Village, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta, Tuesday, July 29, 2025, evening.

According to witness testimony at the location, the corpse was found on his back on the ceiling.

"The face of the victim was black wearing a yellow t-shirt and blue trousers," said the witness, who declined to give his name.
