Apart From PPATK, Social Minister Colek BI Asks To Check Accounts For Anomaly Social Assistance Recipients
JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Saifullah Yusuf asked Bank Indonesia (BI) to check the accounts of beneficiaries of social assistance (bansos) who were suspected to be anomaly or odd in order to ensure that the aid funds were right on target.
Previously, the Ministry of Social Affairs had matched NIK data and social assistance recipient accounts with NIK data for residents affiliated with online gambling (judol) traced by the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK).
"We will slide to BI to ask BI for help to check the accounts of our social assistance recipients. If there is an anomaly balance, for example the recipient of the social assistance balance is IDR 5 million, it's an anomaly. We will check further," said the Minister of Social Affairs when giving a statement at the Presidential Palace. Jakarta, Tuesday 30 July, confiscated by Antara.
According to the Minister of Social Affairs, his party will further examine the accounts of the recipients of the anomaly social assistance, for example those with a balance of Rp. 5 million, to social assistance funds that are stored for more than three months.

The Minister of Social Affairs assessed that the allocation of social assistance funds could be measurable, for example used for daily life, so that it was considered odd if the social assistance funds were still stored for more than three months.
If after being traced the owner of the account is not worthy of receiving social assistance, the Ministry of Social Affairs will transfer the social assistance quota to more entitled recipients.
"It is impossible (social assistance) can be stored for more than three months. If up to three months (saved), this is an oddity that we need to investigate further. If it is later proven anomaly and does not deserve to receive social assistance, we will transfer it to those who are more entitled," said the Minister of Social Affairs.
The Minister of Social Affairs added that his party had transferred a number of social assistance to those who were more targeted based on the updating of the National Sole Social Economic Data (DTSEN) released by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS).
The transfer of social assistance was carried out because after updating DTSEN and direct review of the field, there were almost two million beneficiary families (KPM) deemed unfit to receive social assistance.
The Minister of Social Affairs emphasized that the amount of social assistance was not reduced, but was transferred to recipients who were more entitled and were in deciles 1, 2, 3, and 4.
"The social assistance is not reduced, even the President has provided social assistance thickening for more than 18 million KPM," he said.
