The Thief Of Hismes Sandals Belonging To The Employer Was Sentenced To 18 Months In Prison
The panel of judges at the Medan District Court, North Sumatra, sentenced Nefri Zaldi (32) to 18 months in prison for stealing a pair of luxury sandals belonging to his former employer.
"The defendant Nefri Zaldi was sentenced to imprisonment for one year and six months," said Chief Judge Sarma Siregar at the Medan District Court, Tuesday, July 29, as reported by ANTARA.
The panel of judges stated that the defendant Nefri, a resident of Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, was proven to have committed a criminal act of theft.
"The defendant was legally proven guilty of committing the crime of theft, as stipulated in Article 362 of the Criminal Code," said Judge Sarma.
As for the aggravating thing, the defendant Nefri did because he had harmed the victim Siwaji Raza and disturbed the community.
"Meanwhile, mitigating matters, the defendant was polite during the trial and promised not to repeat his actions," said the judge.
After reading the verdict, Chief Justice Sarma Siregar gave seven days to the defendant Nefri and the Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Medan Kejari expressed their attitude towards the verdict.

The verdict was lighter than the demands of the Medan Prosecutor's Office, Aprilda Yanti Hutasuhut, previously requested that the panel of judges impose a sentence on the defendant Nefri Zaldi to be sentenced to two years in prison.
In his indictment, the Public Prosecutor's Office of Medan, Aprilda Yanti Hutasuhut, explained that the theft case occurred on Saturday, December 28, 2024.
At that time, the defendant Nefri, who had previously worked at the victim's house named Siwaji Raza, together with witness Andika Gultom, visited the victim's house at the Griyatur Indah Complex, Jalan Krisan Medan.
"At around 13.00 WIB, witness Andika saw the defendant taking a pair of Hermes brand sandals from the shoe rack, and putting them in a brown plastic bag," said Public Prosecutor Aprilda.
The defendant was finally arrested by the police on Friday (21/3), and immediately taken to the police station for further processing.
As a result of the incident, the victim admitted that he suffered a loss of Rp. 15 million.
