Fire At Taman Puring Market Hasn't Been Completely Extinguished This Afternoon
The South Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. is still making efforts to cool down after the fire that burned more than 500 merchant stalls at Taman Puring Market, Kebayoran Lama District, South Jakarta, Tuesday, July 29, 2025.
From VOI's observation at the location, on Tuesday afternoon at around 16.30 WIB, a number of firefighters were still spraying water into the area inside the Taman Puring Market.
"Under the rubble of the building, there are still many remaining materials burned and have not been exposed to water sprays," said Rian, one of the traders while observing his burning kiosk.
Rian said, even though the fire extinguishing process had been carried out since Monday night, July 28, 2025. However, the puff of smoke was still visible until Tuesday afternoon.
In addition, firefighters were seen climbing onto the rubble of the concrete roof that collapsed due to the fire.
However, under the concrete of the roof, it seems that there are still hotspots that have not been extinguished.
"There are still efforts to cool down at the location. The hotspots have not been completely extinguished," added the firefighters at Taman Puring Market, South Jakarta.

Until 16.50 WIB, officers were still struggling to cool down at the fire site.
Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Pusdatin, Mohamad Yohan, said that there were no casualties or injuries from the fire at Taman Puring Market.
"The victim was nil," he said briefly when confirmed by VOI.
Previously, it was reported that as many as 500 stalls at Taman Puring Market, Jalan Kyai Maja, RT 07/01, Kebayoran Baru District, South Jakarta, were burned to the ground on Sunday, July 28, evening.
"Temporary information, the object caught fire at approximately 500 stalls at the Taman Puring Market. The reason is still being collected," said Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD Pusdatin, Mohamad Yohan when confirmed by VOI.
