Efforts To Beautify The Roofless JPO In Sudirman

JAKARTA - The roof of the Pedestrian Bridge (JPO) on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman has been removed. DKI Governor Anies Baswedan has a dream, users can simultaneously enjoy the view of skyscrapers in Jakarta when crossing this JPO.

But Anies' wish will be useless if the JPO condition is still uncomfortable and dirty. Hence, the DKI Bina Marga Department immediately improved the appearance of this JPO.

In the middle of the scorching hot sun in Jakarta, they struggled to paint Sudirman's JPO floor which was already dull. This paint is also so that it makes the floor not slippery. Understand it, now it's starting to enter the rainy season. With no roof conditions, when it rains when we are still in the middle of the bridge, running is an option that must be taken. It's not funny, there are residents who fall on the floor of the JPO later.

"What happens when you open it? That is the place to take selfies most often, Sir, because the view of the building at night is very good, afternoon, afternoon. So the roof comes off, it immediately becomes an open space,"

Anies Baswedan
