JAKARTA The famous custom motorcycle modifier, Bandit9, has just launched a limited version of Ducati Monster 821 which has undergone a radical transformation with a stunning aluminum body. Most interestingly, this motor will only be produced as many as nine units worldwide.

Bandit9 itself has been established since 2011 and has produced more than 20 modified motors. Much of the work of this Vietnamese-based company is displayed in museums and galleries around the world, from the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles to the MAD Gallery in Geneva and Dubai.

This limited edition of Ducati Monster 821, reported Visordown, Tuesday, July 29, is priced at 44,900 US dollars (around Rp736 million). A fantastic figure, but commensurate with the exclusivity and premium equipment embedded.

Bandit9 successfully changed Ducati Monster 821 which was originally a "kay bike" to look very brave. Now, this motor is completely covered with aluminum bodywork which meets the back of carbon fibers around the driver's seat. The final touch of the gasoline cap and aluminum polished fork covers further adds to the premium and futuristic impressions.

Performance Still Goes Crazy With Best Components

At the heart of Ducati 821, the Testastretta 11-degree twin-cylinder 821cc engine is still at Ducati, which is capable of generating 110bhp of power at 9,250rpm and 65,9lb.ft torque at 7,750rpm. With a dry weight of about 175kg and a high seat of 870mm, this motor promises an agile and aggressive driving experience with a maximum speed of up to 201 km/hour.

For suspension matters, the front relies on a non-adjustable 43-mm Sachs fork, while the back uses an customizable Sachs monoshock preload and rebound. The braking system is handled by the best components: a multi-monobloc Brembo dual caliber monobloc 320mm on the front and a 245mm Brem disk on the back, guaranteeing superior stopping power.

Bandit9 has also opened this special edition of the Ducati Monster 821 pre-order through the official Bandit9 website. However, it is said that the manufacturing time may take about six to twelve months before delivery.
