Sal Priadi Will Release A New Single For His Birth City In August

JAKARTA - Sal Priadi revealed that there will be a new work that will be released in August. Apart from the album MARKERS AND SUCH PENS FLASH DISKS (2024) which successfully brought it to the peak of its career, there will be a new single that is ready to be launched.

Ahead of his performance at BRI Jazz Gunung Series 2 Bromo at the Amphitheater Jiwa Java Resort Bromo, Probolinggo last weekend, Sal revealed his new song entitled 'Malang Suantay Sayang'.

"The release of the next song is titled 'Malang Suantay Sayang'," said Sal.

"Because people in East Java talk for something really, there is a 'u', like suantay, steam, delicious," he continued.

As the title suggests, the upcoming single is intended for his hometown, Malang.

"The song is for Malang City, describing the city and people in Malang," he said.

Meanwhile, the inspiration for songwriting was obtained because of Sal's anxiety, which felt that there were not enough songs specifically intended for Malang.

"Because I had time to go to Jogja, I saw a lot of things when I tagged Stories on Instagram, it seems like there are so many songs that can be installed in Jogja. But when I return to Malang, how come it's rare," said Sal.

"Well, as a musician I can't understand, I just made my own song. Well, that's probably one of the reasons why I made this song," he concluded.
