Central Sulawesi Police Failed To Smuggle 30 Kg Of Crystal Methamphetamine From Malaysia Network
PALU - Central Sulawesi Regional Police (Polda) thwarted the smuggling of 30 kilograms of methamphetamine in Toli-Toli Regency, which was supplied through Malaysia-Indonesia's international network.
"This disclosure is the result of an intensive investigation since early May 2025, after receiving information from the public, the plan to enter methamphetamine from Malaysia to Central Sulawesi," said Director of Drug Investigation (Dirresnarkoba) of the Central Sulawesi Police, Kombes Pribadi Sembiring, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, July 28.
The disclosure of this smuggling was carried out after the police conducted an investigation for about three months.
The police have arrested three suspected perpetrators who acted as couriers and evidence in the form of two sacks each containing 15 large packages, suspected of being methamphetamine with a total of about 15 kilograms.
"This is an old network that we have been hunting for since 2021, we were finally able to catch them when they were about to land in Toli-Toli Regency," he said.
The suspect with the initials JK (68), a resident of Salumpaga Toli-Toli, then HS (47) and S (28), both residents of Berau Regency, East Kalimantan.
Based on the results of the examination, he said, the perpetrators of JK left first from Toli-Toli Port to Tarakan using a pioneer ship. From Tarakan, then to HS's house in Balikukup Village, Berau, East Kalimantan.
Furthermore, JK and HS used a speedboat to Seporna, Malaysia, to pick up methamphetamine from a person who was said to be a subordinate of brother G, an international dealer network in Malaysia.

After getting the methamphetamine, the two returned to Indonesia and had time to stop at HS's house. On their way to Toli-Toli, they brought along one other perpetrator with the initials S, who was involved in the speedboat.
They had stopped on several islands to refuel before finally arriving at Toli-Toli.
"The three of them are still being investigated at the Narcotics Directorate of the Central Sulawesi Police," he said.
In addition to methamphetamine and fast boats, the police also confiscated three mobile phones used by the perpetrators to communicate during their actions.
