Luhut Reveals 8 Percent Economic Growth Achieved, As Long As...
Chairman of the National Economic Council (DEN) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said he was optimistic that Indonesia's economic growth could reach 7 to 8 percent by 2029-2030.
He explained that this belief was based on President Prabowo Subianto's current programs.
"I have no doubt that Indonesia is actually 7-8 percent growth in 2029-2030, provided that the current Presidential (Prabowo Subianto) programs," he said at the launch of the Padi Kapas Indonesia Foundation, on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), Jakarta, Monday, July 28.
He also emphasized that the importance of cohesiveness and teamwork in the government and current assistants to the President have the qualified capacity to support the achievement of this target.
"Now how do we push together so that this goes, we have to be united. I think this is cohesiveness and common sense. So if we don't have common sense, we don't stick together, we blame each other, I don't think there is time. That will make people a victim later than our egoism," he said.
Luhut also mentioned the importance of paying attention to free nutritious eating programs, which can be a solution for various national problems such as social inequality, stunting, and the development of new economic nodes.
He said that the Rp171 trillion budget allocated by the Government for the program was a large number and had to be managed carefully.
"The funds are quite Rp. 171 trillion, the numbers are not small, of course the structures must be improved, the supervision is how, how the executions are, very detailed," he said.
