President Prabowo And PM Anwar Ibrahim Hold The RI-Malaysia 13th Annual Consultation

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto and Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim are scheduled to hold an Annual Consultation in Jakarta on Tuesday.

The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement on Monday said PM Anwar Ibrahim made a working visit to Jakarta on July 28-29, 2025 to attend the RI-Malaysia 13th Annual Consultation meeting with President Prabowo.

An Annual Consultation is a meeting between the President of the Republic of Indonesia and the Prime Minister of Malaysia which aims to evaluate the implementation of various bilateral agreements between the two countries.

The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that the Annual Consultation of the 12th Republic of Indonesia-Malaysia was held in 2017 in Malaysia. For this reason, this meeting is the right momentum for the two leaders to provide directions for increasing relations cooperation between the two countries in the future.

In addition to bilateral issues, the two leaders will also discuss issues in the region and globally.

The Annual Consultation this time is planned to produce several deliverables in the form of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), both between governments and between business people.

During a working visit, Malaysian Prime Minister Dato Series Anwar Ibrahim was also scheduled to be a speaker at the ASEAN Secretariat.

PM Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to arrive in Indonesia on Monday afternoon, according to the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, quoted from Antara.

In this Annual Consultation, President Prabowo and PM Anwar will witness the signing of four memorandums of cooperation (MoU) between the two countries in the land border, health, technology, and communication sectors.
