Residents Raided, Illegal Drug Sellers In Cipayung Claim Money Deposits To Police Officers
JAKARTA - A drug store that is camouflaged as a cosmetic shop on Jalan TPU Pondok Rangon, RW 04, Cipayung District, East Jakarta, was raided by residents and a number of law enforcement officers.
The shop was raided because of the rampant reports of residents who were increasingly concerned about the practice of selling these illegal drugs.
However, during the raid by residents, the boss of the drug seller admitted that he often gave deposits to a police officer with the initials A who served in the East Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit.
"Every month deposits Rp. 100,000 to members of the East Jakarta Metro Police," said the perpetrator with the initials PK to residents, Monday, July 27, 2025.
To confirm the perpetrator's confession, residents then asked for evidence. The owner of the drug shop finally provided proof of chat on his cellphone. There was a conversation related to the payment of security services by depositing hundreds of thousands of money to these individuals.
"There is a chat, sir. The nickname is Anggoro," he said.
In addition, residents also managed to find a number of illegal drugs stored by the perpetrators in their shops and bathrooms.

For further processing, the perpetrators and evidence were then taken to the Cipayung Police Headquarters.
Currently, the condition of the perpetrator's shop has been locked and tied up by a mine. Nothing can be seen at the scene.
Meanwhile, none of the shop neighbors provided any information regarding the raid by the local resident.
Head of RW 04, Alex said, initially regional administrators received reports of illegal drug selling activities from residents. The RW management then immediately responded quickly by raiding the shop.
They assessed that the impact of the sale of these drugs could damage the younger generation in their area.
"If someone sells illegal drugs, we have to take action. Do not drag on destroying the next generation because it is very dangerous. Previously we checked together there was evidence, then we raided it," Alex told reporters, Monday, July 28, 2025.
The perpetrators along with evidence of illegal drugs were then handed over to the Cipayung Police for further processing.
