Mercedes-AMG Will Reveal Porsche's 911 GT3 Challenger At Munich Motor Show September

JAKARTA Mercedes-AMG has officially announced the development of a new speed monster that is ready to challenge the dominance of the Porsche 911 GT3 Hospital on the circuit. This car, powered by a V8 engine, is specially designed to break lap times.

The first preview of this wild vehicle will be displayed via the new Concept AMG GT Track Sport, and reported by Autocar, quoted Monday, July 28, based on the second generation AMG GT launched in 2023.

Last Friday's announcement confirmed that Mercedes-AMG had not yet fully switched from internal combustion power, although they were developing their first AMG GT electric scheduled to launch in 2027 (previously previewed by the Concept GT XX with 1322 stances). This is good news for V8 engine puristants who miss the distinctive roar of high-performance runways.

Given this is the first image of the concept, it is highly likely that the full specifications will take place at the Munich Motor Show exhibition in September.

This new GT flagship is likely to be the successor to AMG GT Black Series 2022, which vomited 720 hp fantastic power from a modified version of the V8 twin-turbo engine height of 4.0 liters AMG.

In a brief announcement on the manufacturer's website, AMG did not provide specific technical details of this new concept, but they confirmed that it would preview the "GT series expansion" powered by the V8 engine. Given that the GT Black Series is the most powerful V8 production series ever made, it is clear that the production version of this concept will surpass that figure and claim a new title as the most powerful V8 car.

Currently, the strongest variant of the second generation GT ranks is GT Pro which focuses on tracks with 554 hp. This new concept will clearly bring performance to a more extreme level.

The preview image released from this new concept clearly shows its racing tree. The car is equipped with a giant GT3-style backwing, a sturdy front diffuser, as well as a wide front and rear wheel trail, all designed to maximize the aerodynamics on the track.

Mercedes-AMG seems really serious on their mission to set a new record and provide an unmatched driving experience on track. Will Concept AMG GT Track Sport be the new king in the world of high-performance cars? It's worth waiting for his official debut!
