The Burning Gaplok Market In Kramat Senen Is Not A BUMD Owned By The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government

The fire that hit a number of stalls at Gaplok Market, Kramat Pulo Dalam 1, RT 09/03, Kramat Village, Senen District, Central Jakarta, turned out to be not the official market under the auspices of Perumda Pasar Jaya which is one of the BUMDs belonging to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

"Still under investigation," said Senen Police Chief Kompol Bambang Santoso when confirmed by VOI, Monday, July 28, 2025.

The market is suspected to be a fostered market managed by local residents. Meanwhile, according to a VOI source, the Gaplok market is assisted by MSMEs.

"Not (under) Pasar Jaya," he said briefly.

Previously, it was reported that a police post and 3 kiosks located at Gaplok Market, Jalan Kramat Pulo Dalam 1, RT 09/03, Kramat Village, Senen District, Central Jakarta, were burned to the ground on Saturday night, July 27, 2025.

Senen Police Chief Kompol Bambang Santoso confirmed the incident.

"There were three stalls and one police post caught fire," said Kompol Bambang when confirmed by VOI, Monday, July 28, 2025.
