PPATK Reveals Judol Transactions For Jakarta Residents Recipient Of Social Assistance A Year Touching IDR 67 Billion
JAKARTA - The Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) revealed that many Jakarta residents received social assistance (bansos) who apparently also played online gambling.
Unmitigated, PPATK Head Ivan Yustiavandana revealed that online gambling transactions (judol) for social assistance recipients in Jakarta for one year reached Rp. 67 billion.
"There are 15,033 DKI Jakarta residents as recipients of social assistance who are included in the list of online gambling players for the period 2024. The total nominal number of judol transactions from this group is IDR 67 billion in 397 thousand transactions throughout 2024," Ivan explained to reporters, Sunday, July 27.
In total, Ivan revealed that there were 602,419 DKI Jakarta residents from all cities and administrative districts identified as online gambling players in the 2024 period.
"The total nominal transactions of online gambling deposits reached IDR 3.12 trillion in 17.5 million transactions," he said.
Meanwhile, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) is conducting an evaluation of the distribution of social assistance, especially those indicated to be involved in online gambling activities.
"Social assistance is intended for residents who really need it. If an online gambling practice is found, assistance will be transferred to other residents who need it more," said DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung, Saturday, July 26, 2025.
Pramono explained that the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government, such as the Department of Communication, Information, and Statistics (Diskominfotik), the Social Service, and the Inspectorate, are coordinating with PPATK to obtain comprehensive information related to judol issues.
"This collaboration was strengthened by the signing of a memorandum of understanding with PPATK and the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, as part of a joint effort to prevent money laundering and terrorism financing," said Pramono.

He also said that he would ensure that aid funds were used properly to meet basic needs and increase the socio-economic resilience of the community.
Pramono Anung further invited the public to participate in creating a healthy, productive, and free from illegal practices.
"The public is also advised to report if they find indications of misuse of social assistance in their environment," he added.
