Drivers Bring 2 Assembled Guns Arrested In Bungo Jambi It Turns Out That They Want To Steal Livestock

JAKARTA - Polsek Bathin II Pelang in Bungo, Jambi secured a car driver because he was found storing two long-barreled homemade firearms in his vehicle.

"Arrested when members carried out patrols last Thursday (July 24) in the early hours of the morning, officers became suspicious after the vehicle was stopped and checked, in which there were two firearms, ammunition and sharp weapons (pisau)," said Head of Public Relations of the Bungo Police, AKP. He said the suspect was Suprianton alias Anton, a resident of Sitiung, Sungai Rumbai District, Dharmasraya Regency, West Sumatra Province (West Sumatra).

The arrests began when the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bathin II Relayer Police received a public report, a minibus from West Sumatra crossing the Bungo Regency Servant area.

After the speed with which the car was stopped, officers immediately inspected the vehicle, the police found two long-barreled homemade firearms complete with three rounds of ammunition, and a bottle of powder containing window and two knives.

After an in-depth examination, the perpetrator planned to steal livestock with one of his colleagues who had been waiting in the Talang Selungko Hamlet area, Bathin II Pralayan District.

A person who has been waiting managed to escape. Currently, the suspect is being detained by the police for further investigation.

For his actions, the suspect was threatened with possession of firearms and sharp weapons as referred to in Article 1 paragraph (1) and Article (2) paragraph (1) of Law No. 12 of 1951.
